4. CULTURE & END OF LIFE: AN E-LEARNING COURSE

Talaria Inc. announces Culture & End of Life, a multi-media course for physicians and healthcare providers that teaches a process-based model of cross-cultural communication in the context of end-of-life care.

Culture & End of Life applies the LEARN framework as the basis for negotiating mutual understandings of the illness experience and the course of treatment.

After a brief introduction, case studies with African- American, Hmong, Japanese American, Native America, Southern Baptist, and Spanish-speaking patients are used to demonstrate the steps and invite problem solving and the application of LEARN.

Culture & End of Life teaches communication skills that do not require prior knowledge of the patient's culture.

For information on institutional rates or how to register as an individual user ($15.00) contact:
Danielle de Clercq at 206-748-0443 ext. 14 or mailto:ddeclercq@talariainc.com
