The symposium focuses on providing an intensive multidisciplinary review of cutting-edge topics in the rapidly developing field of palliative medicine and supportive oncology. Providing updates in a format that allows informative interaction between the faculty and attendees, this international symposium brings together leaders in clinical practice. Over 200 physicians and health care professionals explore potential solutions improving the quality of care of patients with chronic illnesses through palliative and supportive oncology therapies.
Parallel afternoon workshop sessions are being offered with a focus on supportive oncology and key palliative medicine topics.
This activity is intended for an international audience of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and other health care providers involved with palliative care and supportive oncology. In addition, health care professionals in hematology/oncology, internal medicine, family practice, and hospice care will benefit from the presentations.
